Sub-Riemannian metrics for quantum Heisenberg manifolds

Summary:  Every Heisenberg manifold carries a natural ``sub-Riemannian'' metric with interesting properties. We describe the corresponding noncommutative metric structure for Rieffel's quantum Heisenberg manifolds ([12]).
