On the unitary group of the Jiang-Su algebra

Summary: We determine the topological group structure of the unitary group of the Jiang--Su algebra $\Z$. As a consequence, we also determine the topological group structure of $\mathrm{Aut}(\Z)$, the automorphism group of $\Z$.
